Software Engineer RIP technology, C, C++, on one of Win NT, Mac, Unix*Linux platforms, Electronic publishing solutions Cambridge
Software Developer required to aid the design, development and maintenance of software in the core technology group of a print solutions company. Responsibilities will also include: contributing to direction through group design discussions*consultations; and contributing to software development process definition and improvements.
Essential skills and experience include:
· B.Sc. degree in computer science, or equivalent training. · Minimum 5 years C*C++ development on one of Windows NT, Macintosh, UNIX*Linux platforms. · Knowledge of Pre-press or Electronic publishing systems. · Knowledge*experience of page description languages, such as PostScript language and PDF. · Knowledge*experience of modern software development processes and practices. · A good team player with strong analytical and problem solving abilities and good communication skills.
Also desirable are:
· Knowledge*experience of computer graphics or image processing. · Knowledge*experience of colour management.
This role will be based near Cambridge, salary negotiable dependent on experience.
It may be possible to arrange flexible working hours.
